If Your Team Isn’t Clear on These Two Things, Productivity Will Suffer
Read this if you want everyone in your team to be clear of their work
Hi there,
If your team is hardworking but still struggling with performance, it might not be about skills, attitude, or even effort.
It might simply be a lack of clarity.
Want to watch concise version in video,→ 2 things every team member needs to be clear of
When people don’t know what’s expected of them—or how their performance is measured—it creates confusion, misalignment, and ultimately… underperformance.
Let’s fix that with two powerful tools: KRAs and KPIs.
Why KRAs and KPIs Matter
Every team member should know the answers to two fundamental questions:
What am I responsible for?
How will success be measured?
That’s where KRAs (Key Result Areas) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) come in. Together, they create clarity, ownership, and accountability.
When these are in place:
• Work gets aligned with business goals
• Team members become more focused
• Managers find it easier to track and guide performance
Without them? Even the best teams lose direction.
Two Simple Steps to Start
Step 1: Define KRAs
Key Result Areas are the core responsibilities of a role. Think of them as the pillars of someone’s job → outcomes they’re expected to own.
Example: For a marketing manager, a KRA could be “Lead Generation.”
Step 2: Set KPIs
Once the KRAs are defined, create specific, measurable KPIs to track performance. These are your success metrics.
Example: For the KRA “Lead Generation,” a KPI could be “Generate 100 qualified leads per month.”
🧠 Clear KRAs define the role. Strong KPIs drive performance.
Action step:
Define KRAs and KPIs for everyone in the team
