These two quotes have had a huge impact on me, helping me make better decisions and become more productive.
Quote 1:
“People think focus means saying yes to the thing you’ve got to focus on. It means saying no to the hundred other good ideas that there are. You have to pick carefully.” - Steve Jobs
Quote 2:
“The difference between successful people and really successful people is that really successful people say ‘no’ to almost everything.” - Warren Buffet
Contrary to popular belief, productivity isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing what matters.
And that’s why saying “NO” is so important.
Each time you say “no” to what’s not essential, you’re saying “yes” to what truly matters. You’re freeing up space for what counts, paving the way for productivity and a life of purpose.
Years ago, my mentor shared this simple but powerful advice with me:
Decide on the 3 to 5 projects that are most important to you.
Focus entirely on these projects.
Say “no” to everything else.
This advice has been a game-changer for me, and I believe it can be for you too.
